  1. Introduction and Scope

This privacy notice explains how the Global Logistics Platform Office (GLPO) and its affiliated entities (“we”, “our”, or “us”) use personal information when: 

  • You use or interact with our website 
  • You are a customer/client 
  • You are a vendor/supplier 
  • You use any of our digital applications (“Apps”) 
  • We record video or photographs involving you 
  • We market to you 
  • You are a partner 
  • You use services powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) 

It also describes your rights and choices regarding personal information, and how to contact us. 

 If you provide personal data about others, please share this notice with them. 

Our privacy practices vary by jurisdiction to comply with local laws. Additional country-specific disclosures can be found in the annexes.

The GLPO is the data controller. We determine how and why your data is processed, and do so in line with global privacy principles—lawfulness, transparency, purpose limitation, minimization, accuracy, retention, security, and compliance.

  1. Sharing and Transfer of Personal Information

GLPO may disclose your data to: 

  • Affiliates – Member platforms and partners within GLPO’s global network. 
  • Third Parties – For IT services, audits, analytics, marketing, and professional advice. 
  • Law Enforcement – When required by law or regulatory mandates. 
  • Corporate Changes – If the GLPO structure changes or merges with another entity. 

Cross-border transfers occur with appropriate safeguards.

We retain personal data: 

  • While our relationship with you is active 
  • As needed to deliver services or comply with legal obligations 
  • To defend legal claims or enforce contracts 
  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

We leverage AI to deliver intelligent services and decision support. Our AI use is governed by principles of transparency, accountability, and fairness.

  • Access, rectification, and erasure of data

CHINA ANNEX 

  1. Introduction

This Annex applies if your personal information is processed in the People’s Republic of China by GLPO China Desk, and aligns with the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). 

  1. Data Controller

Under the PIPL, GLPO China acts as a personal information processor. 

  1. Legal Grounds for Processing

GLPO may process personal data with your consent, except where permitted without it, such as: 

  • To perform a contract 
  • For HR management 
  • For legal obligations 
  • During public health emergencies 
  • When publicly disclosed by you 
  • For public interest reporting 
  • Other legal bases as per Chinese laws 

Sensitive personal data will only be processed with your explicit, separate consent. 

  1. Cross-Border Transfers

GLPO may transfer data to affiliates in Hong Kong, Singapore, and UAE, including GLPO’s Dubai HQ. Prior to transfer, we will: 

  • Conduct risk assessments 
  • Seek your consent 
  • Sign standard contracts, as per PIPL 

INDIA ANNEX 

  1. Introduction

This Annex applies to personal data processed in India or in relation to Indian users by GLPO India Desk, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA). 

  1. Data Controller

GLPO India acts as a Data Fiduciary under Indian law. 

  1. Legal Grounds for Processing

We process data where: 

  • You voluntarily provide personal data for a specific purpose 
  • You do not object to its processing 
  • Consent is required and explicitly provided 

The categories and uses of data are as described in the main notice. 

  1. Your Additional Rights (India)

In addition to rights in the main policy, you also have: 

  • The right to nominate another person to act on your behalf in case of death or incapacity 
  • The right to a formal grievance redressal process 

To submit a grievance, contact: info@globallogisticsplatform.com. You may also escalate to the Data Protection Board of India after exhausting internal remedies.
